Open Grid Europe is calling for tenders for its entire fuel gas requirements for the year 2016 in several lots, split according to H- and L-gas. This is to be delivered at the virtual trading point of NetConnect Germany GmbH & Co. KG.

All gas traders interested can take part in this call for tenders in accordance with the "Open Grid Europe General Rules of Procedure for the Call for Tenders for Fuel Gas". The General Rules contain all information on the conditions for participation and delivery terms as well as all the deadlines to be observed.

Rules of procedure

All gas traders interested can take part in the call for tenders in accordance with the “Open Grid Europe General Rules of Procedure for the Call for Tenders for Fuel Gas". As part of a so-called prequalification procedure, any interested trader can apply to be included in the list of bidders by submitting the documents required as proof of his capacity. If this proof is furnished within the period set until 3 June 2015, the applicant will be included in the list of bidders. The bidders are requested to submit one or several bids for the products to OGE by 12 June 2015, 11:00 a.m. German time.

If a trader cannot furnish the proof required above or if there are other reasons laid down in the General Rules of Procedure which preclude the interested party from taking part, he will not be included in the list of bidders. Consequently he will not be able to submit any bids.

The prequalification for this call for tender will be valid for two years. Bidders who have been prequalified successfully during last tender do not have to pass a new pre-qualification to be re-listed on the bidders list.

The “Open Grid Europe General Rules of Procedure for the Call for Tenders for Fuel Gas" contain all information on the terms of participation and delivery as well as the deadlines to be met as part of the procedure.

The call for tenders for fuel gas will take place in several lots, split according to H and L-gas, for delivery at the virtual trading point of NetConnect Germany.

H-gas products

Open Grid Europe expects that it will require approx 2.4 billion kWh of H-gas as fuel gas in 2016 for which bidders will be invited to tender in nine lots. These nine lots are made up of five bands and four structured products.

L-gas products

Open Grid Europe expects that it will require approx. 0.4 billion kWh of L-gas as fuel gas in 2016 for which bidders will be invited to tender in four lots. These lots consist of structured products.

Delivery terms

Open Grid Europe's delivery terms for fuel gas can be found in the gas supply contract which is available for downloading.

This gas supply contract lays down the technical, operating, organisational and commercial conditions for the delivery and billing of fuel gas between Open Grid Europe and the supplier.

The gas supply contract is an integral part of the “Open Grid Europe General Rules of Procedure for the Call for Tenders for Fuel Gas". The acceptance of the provisions of the gas supply contract is also one of the prerequisites for inclusion in the list of bidders and for any consideration of the bids of potential suppliers. Suppliers are obliged to sign a gas supply contract in the version published here if they are to deliver the lots for which they have been awarded a contract by Open Grid Europe.

The gas supply contract will be signed as soon as a bidder has been awarded a contract.
