The Gas Network Access Ordinance, which came into force on 9 September 2010, and the Federal Network Agency's procedure concerning capacity management have resulted in significant changes to the rules for capacity management (bundling, zoning, further market area reduction), which in turn have a considerable impact on capacity calculation.
Against this background, our procedure for carrying out individual checks has been fundamentally revised. Since 2010 we have not been carrying out any individual checks at border-crossing points or market area boundaries and will not do so in future. Applications for individual checks at network interconnections with downstream network operators and at connection points to end consumers are collected and dealt with once a year. Pursuant to the terms of the Cooperation Agreement, we will accept your applications for individual checks by 15 July of each year. During the subsequent overall network calculation, the individual checks will be dealt with. We will communicate the results to our customers in mid-October. If a customer's additional demand cannot be confirmed, the next steps will be agreed on a case-by-case basis. Since 2010 it has not been possible to submit non-binding requests for individual checks anymore.
