The maintenance of gas transmission systems calls for highly-qualified and trained operating personnel. As well as the necessary technical expertise, a high degree of reliability and safety consciousness are absolutely imperative for the work involved.

Through its Technical Operations Department, Open Grid Europe offers bespoke maintenance of gas transmission systems on the basis of service contracts and in accordance with the following DVGW codes of practice:

  • High-pressure gas pipelines G 466-1
  • Gas pressure regulating and metering stations (M & R stations) G 495
  • Gas transport compressor systems G 497

  • System responsibility (operational asset management)
  • Monitoring all systems on site
  • Local control intervention (operation on site)
  • System maintenance/optimisation
  • Standby service for fault clearance/securing availability of systems
